I need a clone!

Ok so it's been a month again since I blogged and seriously I can't find the time! ugh. So I thought it might be nice for me to document the craziness that is our life at night right now. We seriously have something going on almost every night in our house. And that is only with 2 kids in activities, not sure how we will manage 3 in things. I know someday when I am retired and sitting on the beach relaxing and even a bit bored I will miss all the chaos... in the meantime I either need an assistant or a clone because I can't keep up! It's finals this week and next and then a week off before summer class starts. At the top of the list for the week off is to back blog... be back soon.

Happy 2nd Birthday Sutton!

Hard to believe the baby is 2 today. Time sure does fly. As always he acts way older than he is because of his need to keep up with the big bros. He's really starting to talk a ton and we can even understand most of what he says. I guess the other 2 really didn't have as much of the terrible twos as people talk about, or else Sutton has them way worse than the average child. He's been challenging lately to say the least. Very independent and throws the best fit in the house hands down. Sleeping is also challenge, won't go to sleep alone, won't stay in bed all night. I should have expected this stubborness. He was overdue and I was fine with that as long as he wasn't born on MY birthday, well he showed me who was boss and continues to do that on a daily basis. At one point I told him when he was little he needed to make sure I didn't want anymore babies and well he apparently listened because he's giving us a run for our money. Although he is a challenge he continues to be very sweet and still loves to cuddle. He's become more a momma's boy lately but that can change from day to day. So Happy Birthday to our baby today (oh and me too.) Here is his timeline!

Kindergarten Round up and 5 year appointment

So apparently my baby, my first baby, the one that completely tranformed our life is getting OLD. sigh. Tuesday we had 2 big events, 1. Mason's 5 year old appt and 2. Kindergarten round up.

He was so worried about shots at his 5 year appointment. We had several talks about how it would hurt but not for long. At one point he told me, "Mom, I think I am probably going to cry." It was sort of cute because you could tell he said it hesitantly as if he wasn't supposed to cry. So we went to the appointment and the dr. was impressed with all his skills, especially riding a bike with NO training wheels. He measured in the 30% for height and 50% for weight. (Jake keeps reminding me he was the littlest kid in school for years and years until late in high school, so he's expecting a late growth spurt for Mason as well.) I also was short in school and actually grew 3 inches in college. So after all the measuring and chatting the dr. gave Mason the news that he needed NO shots, he had gotten them at his 4 year appointment and so he was good to go! Boy was he thrilled.

So that afternoon we had kindergarten round up. The parents listened to the principal talk while the kids all went off into smaller groups and met a couple of the teachers. Mason had fun and knew a couple kids in his group which was nice. He wasn't scared at all and walked off with his group like no big deal. sigh. He's ready for kindergarten, we are ready to stop paying for daycare, but I am not sure daddy and I are actually ready for him to be in kindergarten.

We have our 1st cousin!!

The boys have been eagerly anticipating the arrival of their first cousin. Finally, on Monday, March 30th at 1:53pm Tristan Lee Champ Koller was born weighing 7lbs 3oz. and 20.5 inches long (a whole week LATE). He's adorable and we are so thrilled. I was there for his birth and it was amazing! Michelle is a trooper and had a very long hard labor and delivery but she did it!!! I LOVE babies but obviously won't be having anymore... and now this aunt deal is like the BEST thing ever. I get a baby to hold and cuddle and see often and I don't have to get up with him in the middle of the night. I am secretly hoping Ryan and Michelle have lots more cause this is great! :) Here are pics of our visit to the hospital last night.

The many faces of Easton

I just downloaded pictures from the last month to post Mason's birthday pics, and there are sooo many to dig through, but I did find some funny one's that Jake took of Easton. I enjoyed a post like this on Amber's blog so thought I would copy and post one too because it made me laugh when I saw all these...

p.s. I will get Mason's birthday post on here soon!

Happy Birthday to my BIGGEST boy!

Five years ago today I was in labor... and at 1:11pm on February 18, 2004- Mason Lee Tanaka Koller made his grand entrance into the world. It was a joyful day...but I will never forget the 18.5 hour labor, and 3.5 hours it took to push him out. He was a chunker, weighing in at 8lbs 8oz. But it was all worth it as he has taught both Jake and I love like we never knew before. There is something special about each child, and experiencing so many firsts with Mason is what has made him so special. Here is a photo tribute to his life thus far!

Happy Birthday Digs!!! We love you.
